The Pipit Writing Competition 2025 is now open. It's a fiction writing competition. This year's theme is: Sacrifice. The closing date is Aug 31, 2025. It's for teens aged 15-19. Good luck!

Length: 2,000–3,000 words
Closing date: Aug 31, 2025

COMPETITION RULES

  1. Only 1 entry will be accepted per person.

  2. Entries must be emailed to brigitte.rozario@gmail.com

  3. Open to youngsters aged 15–19 only (Date of birth must be provided). Must be based in Malaysia. Non-Malaysians and refugees may participate.

  4. Theme: Sacrifice

  5. Length: 2,000–3,000 words.

  6. Entries will be judged on creativity, language, and originality.

  7. Non-fiction entries and those found to be plagiarised or written by AI will be immediately disqualified.

  8. Closing date: Aug 31, 2025
